Providing comprehensive support services for individuals with life-limiting illnesses.
St. Luke’s has been offering palliative care services to individuals residing in mid and south Cheshire since 1988. The organisation provides support that goes beyond the scope and funding of the NHS. Last year, the organization assisted over 1,000 local residents in a variety of ways, ranging from end-of-life care to helping children cope with grief, and aiding patients in returning to work post-illness. Focusing on individual needs, whether it’s symptom control, end-of-life care, or complementary therapies, in a positive environment with caring professionals.
The charity was established in the mid-1980s after a successful fundraising campaign championed by locals. Today, nearly 85% of our care is funded by donations.
The St. Luke’s charity shop had to close down in 2020 due to the impact of Covid-19 and the urgent need for refurbishment.
Crown Building Solutions played a major role in modernising and refurbishing of the interior and exterior of this property, including extensive foundation work, adding disabled access, and extensions to the rear of the building and total refurbishment to the interior shop, kitchen and toilet facilities.
The shop reopened on July 19th, 2023, and is now welcoming customers once again. As part of the community, it was important for the extensive renovation to improve the overall customer experience and helped the continued support and donations to this vital service within Cheshire.
“The team at Crown Building Solutions were proud to be the main contractor for this project and wish St. Luke’s charity shop every success in the future”
